Yes, even when they get their period they get hot and uncomfortable. So imagine going through a hysterectomy your hormones go crazy for a bit. Try and keep her cool and hydrated and if it persists or worsens call or take her back to the vet. hope i helped a bit. Good luck

Don’t use flash. Take pics of your dog in natural light. Or try the red eye reducer, but that sometimes makes a pet shut their eyes just like humans.

sounds like your poor pup suffers from anxiety. try using organic drops..keep them in her water bowl or drop them into her mouth a few times a day. try Richard’s Organics Pet Calm. i think that will help her. if you can’t find any near you and are interested in ordering it, i ship all over the U.S.

I have had pitbulls since I was a kid, I have been bitten 3 times b a dog. Guess what I got bite once by a chihuahua and twice by a German shepherd and 1 of the times he was in my yard. Any dog can attack, or bite as long as they have teeth in their mouth they can bite you.

Our jack russel chases anything that has a light to it. She also chases the ceiling fans and any remote toy that is working at the moment. The worst is she goes crazy when you use the can opener or the microwave…crazy dog….sometimes I think she needs prozac…but she is still an awsome dog!!!!!!

You need to get her through her fear of the camera before you start getting her to stay still for photos.Have the camera next to you, and call her over, give her some treats when she comes.Pat her, and talk to her. Touch the camera, and if she stays with you reward her, if not start again.Once she is fine with you touching the camera, start picking it up, let her see it and reward her when she is calm with it.Once she is no longer scared and knows the camera isn’t going to hurt her, you can start taking photos. I call my dog and sometimes wave a treat or his toy in front of him, or above my head, when he looks at the camera I take the photo and give him a pat, or his toy or treat and tell him “good boy!!!”Good luck! Photographing any animal takes a lot of patience.

Nedra E June 16, 2010 at 5:15 pm

No it won’t help. You need a large breed guardian dog to guard her. -!-

This page will answer your question clearly.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-eye_effect”Because the light of the flash occurs too fast for the pupil to close, much of the very bright light from the flash passes into the eye through the pupil, reflects off the fundus at the back of the eyeball (see diagram in Eye), and out through the pupil. The camera records this reflected light. The fact that the reflected light is red often is attributed to the ample blood supply of the retina and/or chorium, but this is incorrect. The red-eye effect is due to the color of the fundus, which is due to melanin, a pigment, principally located in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE)…”Read more by viewing the page.

It is very common in USA like this.http://www.visiglo.com/The similar products sold in Japan are also quite popular at the pet shops there. The collar is rain-resistant basically( I don’t think it available to swim though)and its button batteries are changeable. It costs more than 100Yen anyway. You may check the variety of the products in Japan as below.http://esearch.rakuten.co.jp/rms/sd/esearch/vc?sv=2&f=A&g=101213&v=3&p=1&e=0&s=6&oid=000&k=0&sf=0&sitem=%B8%F7%A4%EB+%BC%F3%CE%D8&x=0&scid=s_kwo&c=3599

Ok, seriously? No. typically dogs do not suffer from signs related to hypoestrogenism. There is something else wrong with your pet. Please take her to your vet and have her checked out for other things.

I know just how you feel!! Last Christmas I was taking the back road home which is located between my mothers house and my family. It was late, about 11pm, It was me and my two young children, and out of nowhere over a hill(with woods on the side), came two dogs. I slammed on my breaks and avoided one dog, but because of the snow my car slid and I plowed right into the second. I got out and looked and he had snapped his neck and was dead there was nothing that I could do. I went up the road about 20ft. just over the hill for the nearest house and found a family there. I told them I just hit a dog and needed to call the police to have it removed, I couldn’t bear to touch it, and didn’t wat my kids to see it. They walked with me to help me and found out it was there’s. They had three children waiting at home, on Christmas day that was about to find out that one of their dogs have been killed. I felt so bad that that is all I could think about all day. I have two dogs too, and just thinking of loosing one of them on the holiday made me so sad. Everyone told me I should not feel bad, they should have been tied up, but I did. A owners ignorance does not make you feel better about killing an animal. I know that it is still soon for you, but you will do better as the days go by. Not forget, just do better. And will always be reminded when you go by that area. Good luck in your grief.

Goofy is a dog. From the Disney website itself, and they should know:http://home.disney.go.com/guestservices/faqs14. What is Goofy? When did he debut?Goofy is a dog! Good-natured but not that bright, this cartoon character made his first appearance, somewhat disguised, as a member of the audience in “Mickey’s Revue” (1932). What distinguished the character from those sitting around him was not so much his appearance but his raucous laugh.

The thing is, dogs have a tapetum (lucidum) in the back of their eye, the tapetum is a reflective layer that helps them see better in the dark. The problem is, when light reflects off of it, it shines brightly, resulting in photos that always have shiny eyesThere isn’t much you can do to prevent this that I know of… except for photshop!

Flash drives have been used, but they’re the waterproof kind, which are expensive. There’s also a flaw in that a finder would have to recognize what it is and then actually take it to a computer to plug it in and read it. More people will be willing to call a local number on an easy to read tag than to do that.If you have a Dremel, you could theoretically use it to etch in some new information, but it would look hinky. If I found an altered tag, I would find it suspicious and try to contact the original owner, not the penciled in owner. You could make a home-made tag by taking a #6 deli container lid, decorating it with Sharpie pens, then baking it in the oven for a cheap “shrinkidink” substitute. Be sure to punch a hole in it before baking or it may break if you try to drill it afterward. Three punches with a paper hole punch usually makes a large enough hole to still be usable after shrinkage. Use smooth foil as a pan liner or the ink will transfer onto your pan and the plastic just might decide to stick to it.You could also take a plain nylon collar and a good magic marker and write your phone number in large numbers directly on the collar.Frankly, for a great dog, I would go ahead and get her microchipped and then get her a good tag from http://www.boomerangtags.com/ Microchips can be implanted and registered by a local shelter for as little as $10 in some areas, and a Boomerang tag is around $10. They last WAAAAY better than the cheapie ones you get in vending machines where the writing wears off in months or even weeks. They even have a guarantee that if your dog manages to break, eat, mangle, wear out or even lose her tag they’ll replace it for free (same information as original tag only). In the long run, I’ve found them to be the most economical tags.If you compare the cost of a good tag and microchip to the costs both monetarily and emotionally of searching for a lost dog, not to mention the potential costs of vet care if the dog isn’t found quickly, it really is worth the investment to go for good quality ID and save your money in other areas.
